Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Mazalito NYC LLC, trading as Mazalito ("Mazalito", "we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information when you visit mazalitonyc.com, buy from us, visit our showroom, or otherwise deal with us.

1. What we collect

You give us: name, email, phone, billing and shipping address, and what you told us about what you are looking for. Ring size, finger size, and engraving text where relevant. Appointment details.

Your payment goes to our processor, not to us. We never see or store your full card number. Our payment processor handles that under its own PCI-DSS obligations. We see the last four digits, the card type, and whether it went through.

Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device, pages viewed, what you clicked, what you put in the cart, and where you came from. This comes through cookies and similar technologies.

From others: our payment processor and fraud-screening providers return risk signals; shipping carriers return delivery status; advertising platforms return aggregate performance data.

What we do not collect: we do not ask for and do not want your Social Security number, government ID number, or financial account credentials. If a page or an email appears to ask you for those in our name, it is not us — forward it to privacy@mazalitonyc.com.

2. Why we use it

To take, verify, and fulfill your order, and to talk to you about it
To run identity and fraud checks before a high-value piece ships
To handle returns, repairs, and warranty work
To book and run showroom appointments
To send marketing where you asked for it, and to stop when you say stop
To improve the site and understand what people actually look at
To meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations

3. Who we share it with

We share personal information with service providers who need it to do their job for us: payment processing, fraud screening, shipping and insurance, email and SMS delivery, analytics, customer support, and our e-commerce platform. They are permitted to use it for that purpose and not for their own.

We also share where the law requires it, in response to lawful requests, to protect our rights or someone's safety, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money. We do use advertising and analytics cookies that may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California and several other state privacy laws. You can turn that off — see section 6.

4. Cookies

Strictly necessary cookies keep the cart and checkout working and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional. Manage them through the cookie banner or your browser settings. Turning off the optional ones does not stop you shopping.

We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where your browser sends it.

5. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as tax and warranty obligations require — generally seven years. Marketing contact details are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics are kept in identifiable form for a limited period and then aggregated. Appointment notes are kept while the relationship is live.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Know what we hold about you and get a copy
Correct it
Delete it
Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing
Opt out of profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects
Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these
Appeal a decision we make on your request

To exercise any of these, email privacy@mazalitonyc.com or use the "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link in the site footer.

We verify who you are before we act on a request about an account, because handing someone else's order history to the wrong person is its own privacy breach. We respond within 45 days and may extend once where the request is complex, telling you if we do. An authorized agent may act for you with written proof.

If we decline, we will say why, and you may appeal by replying to the same address.

7. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and vetted processors. No system is perfectly secure and we will not claim ours is. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children

The site is not for anyone under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child gave us information, email privacy@mazalitonyc.com.

9. Where your information goes

We operate in the United States and your information is processed here. If you contact us from outside the U.S., you are sending it to a country whose data protection laws may differ from your own.

10. Changes

We will post changes here with a new date at the top. Material changes will be flagged more prominently than that.
